On behalf of the Affiliate Advisory Board and the AQHA Horseback Riding Program, we are happy to announce that horseback riders will have an opportunity to earn an affiliate year-end award!

When arriving at AQHA, Chief Executive Officer, Karl Stressman worked with the staff to focus on 2023 initiatives, and if you have been following his communications to the membership you will know that number two on his second set for the year is to “acknowledge and celebrate how diverse our membership is and increase participation in AQHA’s various programs – Horseback Riding Program, Professional Horsemen, Ranching Heritage programs and more”. This initiative fell right in line with what the Affiliate Advisory Board had been working on as well.

The program was announced during the AIM Rally that was held during the 2023 AQHA Convention in Fort Worth.

Horseback riding is an outreach opportunity for new members of all ages.

The deadline for sign-up is May 15.  The program will begin June 1 and conclude December 15 so we may order awards and get them to the affiliate in time for year-end banquets.

After May 15th, Shelly Spears will reach out to affiliates to verify affiliate membership.
